Cover for the Semester Project Documentation

In our second semester at Medialogy our group made a research about people's abilities to remember certain types of passwords. We also built several different password systems, each one based on one human sense for testing purpose. But, since this is not the topic, I won't go more into detail with this. Instead, I am going to show you the steps I went through to achieve the design bellow, which represents the cover for our project's documentation.

First of all, I modeled some props in Maya, to use for the setup: a lamp and a desk.

Further on, I modeled each password system individually.

After that, I modeled a screen which displays the the graphical password system (can be seen in the final cover). When each piece was ready, I put them all together, created a light setup in Maya and rendered everything into an A3 picture using Mental Ray. Finally, I imported the rendered file in Photoshop, added a transparent-white gradient to create the fade where I added the title of the project.
